Emdad Hoque was born in very noble family in Old Dhaka. Apart from his regular study he grown up with color & design and the result of his aggressive interests in this ground he joined BRAC silk development project just after his post graduation in the field of Marketing from Dhaka University and because of his instructive background he probably manage his intuitions with more practical way to be the top in the design.
He loves to play with fabric and its texture, his dreams come true with perfect use of colors and he knows very well how to present it with modern fashion and looks. Recently he exhibited his collection to Spain at Madrid and Bulgros. He has shown his Bangla collection based on hand loom fabric like Jamdani, Katan, Silk, Khadi. He loves to talk about design and its future and the reason why he got involved in fashion journalism since 1985.
At present he is the Director Product development of Banglar mela, a rural craft Stores in Bangladesh and also owned a fashion and design studio named "Hoques Emdad".
He believes that his design is not only a design; it represents personality and the hope of the million weavers in the Bangladesh.
