Newly appointed Planning Minister Air Vice Marshal (retd) AK Khandaker completed his graduation from RPAF College in September in 1952. He served in Fighter Squadron till 1955 and became Flying Instructor. He was at Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Academy till 1957.

Muhammad Faruk Khan is a Bangladeshi politician and current Commerce Minister of Bangladesh Government. Khan is a former Parliament member of Bangladesh Government and the current Commerce & Industry Secretary of the Awami League.

He was previously attached to diplomatic mission in Pakistan as a Defence Attachep , prior to that he served as a UN Peacekeeper in United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda.
